A Real RPG. On Your Wrist.

Not a minigame. A complete action RPG with a story campaign, real-time combat, and an economy - built for round watch screens.

10-Quest Story Campaign

Take on ten quests from three quest givers in the town of Haven-Rest, building to a final showdown at the Throne of Hollows.

Procedural Islands

Every corrupted floating island is procedurally generated. No two expeditions into the Rift are the same.

8 Enemy Types + Bosses

Fight Rot-Hounds, Wraiths, Scrap-Golems, and more in real-time combat - each with boss variants guarding the islands.

Gear, Shops & Economy

Earn coin, upgrade your gear through five tiers, stock up on potions, and rest at the inn between expeditions.

Permadeath High Scores

Death is permanent. Every run ends on the scoreboard - how far did your Sky-Strider get, and how fast?

Works Offline & Free

No phone needed, no ads, no purchases. The whole game runs on your watch, anywhere - completely free.

The Story

A Sky-Strider in aether-forged armour

You Are a Sky-Strider

The floating islands of the Aether are falling to corruption. From the safe town of Haven-Rest, you step through the portal to clear island after corrupted island - fighting what the corruption has twisted, and gathering the relics that remain.

Three Voices in Haven-Rest

Brother Milo, Sage Aldric, and Young Lyra each need your help. Their ten quests slowly uncover what really lies beneath the corruption.

The Throne of Hollows

Every answer points to the same place. At the end of the campaign waits The Voice Beneath - and a final battle at the Throne of Hollows.

Shops, an inn, and permadeath. Choose your battles carefully - a fallen Sky-Strider does not return.

Tips for Sky-Striders

A few things worth knowing before you step through the portal.

1

Set Your Watch Up First

SkyRift needs touch to move and fight, so make sure touch is enabled and turn the brightness up to full before playing - a watch Focus mode is a handy way to switch both on in one go. Turn sounds on too if you'd like audio feedback.

2

Leave Town Prepared

Never enter the portal at half strength. Top up your health potions at the shop and rest at the inn until your health is full - the islands don't forgive a careless start.

3

Use the Mini-Map

Press the DOWN button to toggle the mini-map. Lost in Haven-Rest, or not sure what's left to explore on an island? The map shows everywhere you've been - and everywhere you haven't.

4

Quick-Use in Combat

Press the UP button to open the quick-use menu and drink a potion mid-fight without breaking the action. Faster than dying.

5

Know When to Fall Back

Death is permanent, but retreat is free. If a fight is going badly, head back through the portal - your progress is saved, and a healed Sky-Strider can always return. A dead one can't.

6

Don't Outgrow Your Gear

Coin spent is better than coin carried. Upgrade your weapons and armour at the shop between expeditions - later islands punish a Sky-Strider still wearing starter gear.

SkyRift is launching soon on the Garmin Connect IQ Store. Free, offline, no ads.

Device Support

This first release is built for modern high-resolution touchscreen Garmin watches — Fēnix 8 series, Epix Gen 2, Venu 3 / Venu X1, Forerunner 265 / 570 / 965 / 970, Vivoactive 5 / 6, MARQ Gen 2, and similar AMOLED touch devices. A full RPG needs the screen space and touch precision to shine, so smaller MIP and button-only watches aren't supported yet. If there's demand, more devices may follow.
